Where are we going?

Ok, I am sure everyone is wondering where in this big world are we going. Here is a map of Kaz. We will fly into Almaty on Tuesday morning and then fly to Pavlodar on Wednesday evening. Pavlodar is the city where our son is living now. We will be in this city almost the entire trip. If you want to get an idea of weather, feel free to go to www.undergroundweather.com and search Pavlodar, Kazakhstan.

Congrats on the adoption. Not sure if you'll get this in time, but bear in mind "adoption" is an industry in Pavlodar, like movies are to Hollywood or timber is to the Pacific Northwest. It is in their best interest to take you to the most expensive stores and restaurants, and it is not uncommon to hit you up for additional fees and services.

I spent a year in Pavlodar as a Peace Corps Volunteer. It is a beautiful city with beautiful people, and in recent years the orphanages have become very decent places for the kids.

Enjoy the "ice city," a city within the city of Pavlodar hand-carved entirely out of ice. Make sure to visit "Krendel", the best bakery on the planet Earth. And if you meet a gal name Julia working in the photo shop in "Flogmon" market, tell her Kevin says hello and misses her.
