Just passing Time

Hey Folks,

We thought it was time to update. Although I don't have really anything to report on. We did get an email from our attorney last month. Az will be available for us to start the process over on April 3rd. As always we expect delays due to paperwork and travel but we are very optimistic that we will be travelling in April or May.

I know that a lot of people have asked questions about the process and what will happen this next go round. So I am going to answer a few of those questions.

We will have to be in Kaz for the entire 6 weeks. There is no changing that. Even though what happened before, basically we are starting over with a clean slate.

We will not have to meet with any officials from the government. That part was taken care of in December and we will not have to do that again. So, if we arrive on April 3rd, we will go straight to the baby house and the clock starts immediately.

We will do the 15 day bonding period, request a hearing with the judge, then the judge will require us to stay an additional 15 days as a waiting period. After the second 15 days, our adoption becomes official and we will take Az from the baby house.

The next steps will be his passport, paperwork, doctor visit, travel to Almaty, exit interview at the Embassy, get cleared to leave the country and get plane tickets. This is a rough evaluation of what will happen.

Anyway, we are waiting paitently and the last month has flown by. We are sure the next two will fly by also. Thanks for all the support and we will talk soon.
